BOUGEOIRS / Candlesticks, 19th Century Russian, in Bronze, Unique and Exceptional Pair. Very finely detailed, Handmade in the XIXth Century by an Artist, a Craftsman. Each Candlestick has its own, Original 'Bobèche' or drip guard to catch wax droppings. Overall detail is extraordinary with elaborate Neoclassical design. Both are Original & Complete and each comes apart for Cleaning, Storage etc. The Body of each Candlestick is made in graduating Circles, small to larger going down steps Bronze. Each Bourgeoir rests on a substantial, solid Base with 3 well defined, well sculpted Feet. Solid, heavy very well made. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding when one considers the Age and the Use. Approximately 25 cm Tall. Weight: Heavy, weighing approximately 1.8 kg, about 4 lbs Total for both Candlesticks.

Fabulous heavy & finely detailed pair of solid Bronze / Brass French XIXth Century CANDLESTICKS with their original 'Bobèches' or drip guards. Overall detail is extraordinary with winged Cupids or Cherubs in various poses, Heads etc. The Candle Holders can be taken apart into 5 sections. CONDITION & QUALITY are excellent considering age and use. Dimensions: 9.5" in height.

BOUGEOIRS / Candlesticks, XIXth Century French Neoclassical in Bronze, Unique and Exceptional Pair. Very finely detailed or ciselé — chiselled in solid Bronze Handmade in the XIXth Century. Each Candlestick has its own, Original 'Bobèche' or drip guard. Overall detail and design is extraordinary with elaborate Neoclassical design. Both are Original & Complete. The Body of each Candlestick is twisted Bronze and the Base is decorated overall. Each Bourgeoir rests on 3 well defined, well sculpted Hoof Feet. The Engraved, raised Detail all over is extraordinary and all done very discreetly — the French would describe the Detail as 'bien ciselé' or, well chiselled. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding. Approximately 25 cm Tall. Diameter approximately 11.5 cm. Weight: approximately 1.5 kg.

Rarely seen is this Decorated all over Pair of CHRISTOFLE Silver & Bronze Handmade XIXth Century CANDLESTICKS. Original & Complete. The Engraved Detail is extraordinary with Flowers, leaves, stems all done very discreetly and, difficult to photograph. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding. Dimensions: 9" Tall x 4 1/2" Diameter at the Base. The necks are also Decorated. 4 Silver Hallmarks including each is Numbered.

Very large Antique heavy Bronze & Silver Chamberstick, made by the founder of Christofle, Charles Christofle, Circa 1870. Dimensions, 8" in Diameter & 8.25" Long. Impressed Silver Hallmarks for Christofle include '#1 & #0 + CHRISTOFLE + C Scales C + #1874816'. I have nearly every model made by Christofle. There are scroll 19th Century Initials which add to the overall decoration. CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are exceptional.

Fabulous very, very large antique heavy Bronze & Silver Chamberstick, made by the founder of Christofle, Charles Christofle, Circa 1870. Dimensions, 8" in Diameter & 8.5" Long. Impressed Silver Hallmarks for Christofle include '#6 + CHRISTOFLE + C Scales C'. Comes apart in 4 pieces. The Bolt holding the Candle Holder in the center is hand made & original. NOTE: Christofle made several different Models of these Chambersticks. CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are exceptional.

Very fine early model of Chamberstick or Candle Holder, Candlestick or 'Bougeoir' in very fine heavy Silver plate signed on the bottom by 'GALLIA' + 'O & C' + 'PROD.CHRISTOFLE' + 'O & C' again + '2'. Made in the Art Deco Period (1920-1935). Dimensions: 6" x 2". CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent. Wonderful in a Bedroom. I do have a Pair if you would like a Pair.

Lovely, Rare Antique heavy Vienna Bronze CANDLESTICK incorporating the Sculpture of a Cat at the Base of the Candlestick. Wonderfully practical used as a Candlestick, or, as well as a conversation piece at the Table. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent considering age and use with no repairs, dings or dents to speak of. Dimensions: 20.0 cm (7.9") tall by 9.5cm by 3.7" diameter.

Orfèvrerie Métal Argenté — One of the First Models Made by Christofle — 6.5" Long

Very RARE model of Chamberstick or Candle Holder, Candlestick or 'Bougeoir' in fine Silver plate Signed & Numbered on the bottom by 'CHRISTOFLE' + 'C * C' + 'C Scales C' + 04'. Everything is original. This is one of the first models made by Christofle. The chamberstick is heavy and the workmanship is very fine as can be seen from the handmade wing nut which holds the piece together. Measurements are: about 6.5" long. Condition & Quality are excellent including the silver, with very minor surface scratches and wear and no nicks or dings.

Unusual & Rare Pair of Original CHRISTOFLE solid Bronze & Silver Handmade XIXth Century CANDLESTICKS. Original & Complete. The detail is extraordinary with Masquerons and Engraving. The only other Pair I have seen in 30 years is in the Christofle Museum. Very heavy weighing approx. 6 lbs each. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are simply outstanding. Everything can be taken apart with the Center Sticks held to the Base with Handmade original Silver Bolts. Dimensions: 12" Tall x 5.0" Diameter at the base x 10 1/2" across the Bobèches. 4 Silver Hallmarks. Comes completely apart for cleaning, a good indication of the level of Quality Christofle employed in this Masterpiece 'Work of Art'.

9 Masks or Mascarons — 10" High — Napoléonic Wreaths — Griffin Figures

Very finely detailed heavy solid Bronze Candlestick which has been gilded and handmade in the XIXth Century. There are 9 Masks or Mascarons, 3 around the Base, 3 in the Middle and 3 near the top. CANDLESTICK has its own, Original 'Bobèche' or drip guard. Overall detail is extraordinary with elaborate Wreaths (Napoléonic) + Mythological, Griffin Figures. The Gilding is still in very good condition. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY overall are excellent considering age and use. Dimensions: 10" in Height.

Circa 1860 — 21" Tall — Hebrew Name for 'Jesus' — Church Origin

Wonderful Antique heavy pair of French Bronze Prickets or Pique Cierges or CANDLESTICKS, Circa 1860. Prickets, a 15th Century English term for fixing Candles to a Point. What is unusual, Rare is that this pair were certainly from a Church and the Decoration on 1 side has the Hebrew name for 'Jesus'. Detail is extraordinary, with different Decor on each of the 3 Sides. Cherub or Angel Heads, Hebrew & Religious Bronze decoration. Wonderfully practical as well as a conversation piece. CONDITION WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are excellent considering age and use with no repairs, dings or dents to speak of. Dimensions: 21" tall by 5.5" diameter.

Heavy Solid Bronze — 9.5" Tall — Beautiful Antique Patina — From French Chateau

Very fine, handmade, heavy solid Bronze French CANDLESTICK, dating from the 3rd quarter of the XIXth Century. Overall simple, sober detail is wonderful and reflects the 18th Century style & influence. I have not cleaned it, leaving it with a beautiful antique patina which has darkened because this Candlestick was used on the mantle of a Chimney in a Bedroom in a Chateau. CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are exceptional. Dimensions: 9.5" Tall x 4.5" Wide across the feet.
