Lovely Boxed Set of 8 heavy Sterling Silver Cake, Pastry Forks from one of London's & the World's finest Silversmiths, MAPPIN & WEBB. Extremely fine, Hand crafted by a highly sought after London Silversmith. What is particularly striking about this 8 pc Set is that in spite of its age, the Set is in near pristine conditon & unengraved.

The Handmade presentation Box, made especially for this Set by Mappin & Webb is also in excellent order & was retailed by well known Elkington, London.

Hallmarks are Deep & Clear for Sheffield 1963 and Mappin & Webb. Length 5 inches.

CONDITION, WORKMANSHIP & QUALITY are exceptional. Heavy, 20 grams each fork with Stems particularly thick & Strong. Tines are perfect, long, sharp & even.

Service Hors d'Oeuvres, or for Foie Gras this unique outstanding 4pc Service in it's original handmade and fitted presentation Box, created & brought to life by an exceptional Parisian French Silversmith, Pierre Gavard & made in 1866 for Royalty, a Marquis and engraved and decorated in the Art of the Silversmith. The Engraving alone is a work of art. Holding and using this Service is being part of History. The Quality is exceptional and any Silver Collector knows how rare and unique this Service is.

It is both practical and Collectible and almost impossible to find today.

Superb, RARE 18th Century SERVING PIECES, a Pair of Gravy Sauce Ladles in solid English Sterling Silver in near pristine condition. Normally the Handles on serving pieces are Silver but Hollow, not these. Each is very very beautifully decorated with a simple yet exquiste Beaded design the full length of the Handles & not monogramed or engraved. Made by sought after London Silversmith 'SUMMER' who died in 1805. These were made nearly 30 years before his demise. Very heavy serving LADLE for Soup or Punch in solid Silver, Stamped with the French Minerve Head N°1 indicating .950/1000 quality Silver (finer than Sterling) and the Hallmark of the Silversmith which is illegible. Nearly impossible to find, extremely fine, antique Christofle plated Silver STRAWBERRY SPOON. Condition and Quality are exceptional. The Handle is decorated with Stawberries in very fine detail and the shovel portion is wide to accomodate the serving of this fruit. Back and front are detailed beautifully exhibiting the quality of old Christofle with the early Christofle Marks. Quite a Rare XIXth Century massive Silver Holder or Handle used for holding, carving and serving a Leg of Lamb. The handle is heavy and is beautifully carved with the screw and the rest being heavy plated silver and in excellent condition with some usage wear. The Silver work on the Handle is exquisite and considering its use, it is in near pristine condition. It is an unique piece which epitomizes the art of the French Silversmith. Hallmarked on the end of the handle with the Minerve forward 1 indicating that this silver is finer than Sterling. The Handle is decorated on both sides with detailed Heads and a decorative vase. A very Fine & very Rare Antique signed Christofle TOOTHPICK HOLDER. Quite large, 5.5" tall and stamped on the base Christofle + Scales C C + #4 + #1950530. Quite heavy, SILVER over bronze. Amazing detail of the Animal figure holding the RING to insert Toothpicks, or skewers. The sculpture is incredibly well engraved with fine detail.

Superb quite rare, heavy French RAGOUT SPOON with 3 late 18th or early 19th very good considering age and use. Hallmarked by Silvermaker with an "AT" and Hallmarks I am unable to decipher. Dimensions: 12" or 1 foot in length weighing 152 grams. Superbe cuillère à ragoût modèle au filet longueur 30 cm poids net 152 g avec poinçons mais impossible de les identifier. Antique CHRISTOFLE Gallia Silver SAUCEBOAT, Art Deco Period, 1930 - RARE - Orfèvrerie Métal Argenté

Brilliant Original Creation Made by Christofle-Gallia Paris and Designed by Christian Fjerdingstad Circa 1930. Christofle employed Fjerdingstad between 1924 and 1940. He was the chief designer of the Art Deco Collection. The Sauceboat is in the shape of a Swan with the Ladle serving as the head and Tail (Handle) of the Swan. Silver Hallmarks, 'Christofle' + 'Collection Gallia'. Dimensions: 11" Long with Ladle or 8" alone x 4" Wide. Charles CHRISTOFLE TEA POT on Stand, Circa Napoléon III 1850, Very RARE

Extraordinarily beautiful Serving Piece in the finest quality of CHRISTOFLE and made by its Founder and signed by him. DIMENSIONS- Ensemble is 14.25" (36cm) tall and 8" (20.3cm) wide - the TEA POT is 9.75" (25cm) from handle to spout, and 7" (18cm) Tall. Everything works, the hinges are in excellent condition and both the Teapot & the Stand are numbered and Hallmarked similarly. This is an entirely original and Practical as well as decorative Collectible. These are among the earliest Hallmarks of Christofle. Quadruple silver plated, a process discovered by Christofle.
